The Taengsic Conflict

Words of declaration: Taengsic is my OTP and is the couple which I observe the most.

As much as I ship Taengsic, I do not think they get along in reality. From their trainee days to after their debut, both lead singers have always been compared against, it is inevitable for them to develop a sense of consciousness towards the other. If one improves, the other will feel pressured to step up her game.

Not to mention that Taeyeon is ultimately v traditionally Korean, while it is difficult for non-Koreans to actually accept the strict Korean culture easily. With a little rebellion in Jessica (for she is the hard-headed ABK), both are bound to have arguments. Character-wise Jessica tends to forget little arguments and puts it past her, Taeyeon on the other hand seems to remember grudges. It may not seem like it on the surface. This is why we see Jessica trying to forge contacts with Taeyeon but Taeyeon ignoring it.

In the past, we see Taengsic moments, this was probably because of them only having competition between them, yet trying to hide that from the camera. After all, should such image be portrayed on 2009's innocent angels. *Think Into the New World*

I think they are past the competitive phase, but it is difficult for them to shake hands and be best friends. Something probably happened in 2011 for Taeyeon to find it difficult to accept Jessica. I suspect relationships or Jessica's nonchalent and easygoing attitude to piss off our Taengoo. Let's also not forget that Jessica is probably the one who spents the most time with ppl out of the group, so there's equals to less interactions between her & the other members. As time pasts without any reconciliation, it will get harder.

For now, let's just indulge in our "deluded" Taengsic writers' imagination and be hopeful HERE COME TO TAENGSIC FANTASY/ PARADISE .
